Hello!
I just got a Witty Pi 4, it's a great HAT and I' have a question.
For several reasons, I must bypass the on-off switch to turn on the Raspberry Pi. So, when there is power in the Power Input, the Raspberry turns on, instead of manually turning it on.
I really appreciate any help you can provide.
If my understanding is correct, this feature already exists and you can activate it in software.
After running wittyPi.sh, you choose 11 (View/change other settings...), and then the first listed item is to configure the default state when powered.
You may search "Default state when powered" in the user manual for more details.
@admin Thanks for the answer. I'm a newbie regarding the Witty Pi4. If you don't mind, could you point me in the right direction toward the documentation to implement the suggestion?
Thank you so much for your attention and participation!
There is nothing to implement. It is just an option to turn on in the software. The steps are:
- Run wittyPi.sh (executing "./wittyPi.sh" in the "~/wittypi" directory), and it lists a menu that you can choose.
- Input 11 and press ENTER, you enter the second-level menu.
- Input 1 and press ENTER, the software will say "Input new default state (1 or 0: 1=ON, 0=OFF)".
- Input 1 and press ENTER, now you have set the default state when powered to "ON".
