I'm trying to power my Vivid Unit from a POE switch, and it does not seem to turn on.  The yellow light on the rJ45 port blinks yellow

I'm using a ubiquiti USW Lite 8 PoE sich is POE & POE+ capable.

Is this a faulty board?

I don't know about that specific PoE switch, but every unit's PoE has been tested before being packed.

In the picutre below you can see its PoE wiring.

Which POE variants are compatible with the vivid unit? Does it only work with passive POE?

My switches provides 802.3AF POE and 803.AT POE+

I've not had success powering my vivid unit via POE trying multiple switches and multiple cables.

I just get a blinking light.

@simon-cleveland Vivid Unit uses the MP8001 chip, which supports 802.3af.

Any troubleshooting resources as to why I can't power my unit via POE then?

Here is a short clip of what happens when I attempt to power via POE.  The power button remains unresponsive https://imgur.com/DCcmHCg

Here is what my POE tester says about the incoming connection https://imgur.com/BnhqzpZ

The unit works fine powered via USBC

@simon-cleveland

I can see 3 results on your PoE tester. Does it say PoE (802.3af) and PoE+(802.3at) tests passed, while Passive PoE test failed?

I just tested again using a Mercury MS05CP PoE switch and it works well with Vivid Unit.

The PoE checker shows that it uses wire 1,2 and 3,6 for powering. I believe it is the "Alternative A" in 802.3af.

I also tested it with the PoE socket in my office, which shows 4 pairs mode and also works well, but I don't know which model of PoE switch is behind.
