[Solved / Archived] vivid unit wifi antenna

My home wifi can be terrible at times, being the furthest away from the router, but I've noticed there's no antenna connector. I've looked into the schematics to try and identify the wifi/Bluetooth chip, and it seems to be a chip antenna, so I'm assuming it's not possible to add anything external, besides picking up a new wifi card. Which I'm fine with of course.

Just curious what others have done. Not exactly in need of technical support 🙂

my idea here, was to solder on my own antenna. Which I haven't done yet. But that was the plan.

@piexplorer indeed there is no antenna connector on board. That component with red dot is the antenna exactly.

The wifi signal seems weak compare to my Raspberry Pi 4b. I have to put the Vivid Unit nearby my wifi router to have stable connection.
