Hi, i am using the WittyPi4 since a long time on my raspberry pi 4.

But now i reinstalled raspberry pi os and installed wittypi drivers, but it is not working.

It only starts once and shutting down is not working.

The white LED on the wittypi is on permanently.

What could be the reason?

Thanks for help.

I recently updated to bookworm (Debian 12), and now the WittyPI3 is not working and a new WittyPI4 (there was some other issue with version3) is not working either. Is bookworm not supported yet? I will try to reinstall with  Bullseye OS later when I have some time, but if someone can confirm Bookworm is not supported that would help.

You may want to check if it is the same issue with this one: https://www.uugear.com/forums/technial-support-discussion/wittypi-3-mini-on-pi-zero-2w-and-wittypi-4-on-pi-4/

We still have not reproduced the issue yet.

it seems to be an OS version issue. To test, I flashed an (old) SD card with Bullseye, just with the raspberry pi imaging tool and then the wittypi4 worked fine. I then flashed to Bookworm, the wittty board was recognized by the wittyPi.sh script but throughs errors on the screen and the witty systemd service also gives errors. The on/off button only turns the system on, but off does not work. I have not made any screenshots, my SD card broke down when I wanted to repeat the tests for doing this, guess it was too old. But, in real life a use a Raspikey that I orginally upgraded from Bullseye to Bookworm with 'apt upgrade' and then the witty card was not detected at all by the wittyPi.sh script, so there is some difference here as well. I'll now stick to Bullseye for the time being.

Can confirm, wittyPi4 mini and wittyPi4 l3v7 do not shut down the system, either at voltage threshold or via the push button or via schedule, using the latest Raspberry Pi OS. This is on Pi4 and Pi 5 boards.

What's the status of this? Basically the wittypi4 appears to be broken on current versions of Raspberry Pi OS (Bookworm) but works fine on the earlier version (Bullseye). Since The current version is the only one that works on the Raspberry Pi 5, and is the only officially supported image, that leaves all new users with a device that does... nothing

@goremaker the software has been upgraded to V4.14 to solve this problem.
